Founded in 2004, GraffitiDoc rapidly gained a solid reputation as a refined and high-level production company. Since its first works, GraffitiDoc developed projects alongside some of the best production companies on the European market, destined for theatres and international TV channels and selected at prestigious festivals. MEDIA has repeatedly recognised the company’s ability to work on the international market, granting it funding to three slates of projects (2009, 2012, 2015).
Amongst its main releases, “Dust – The Great Asbestos Trial”, distributed by Cat&Docs, was shortlisted for Best Feature Documentary at the David di Donatello 2012 and it won ‘best film’ at various international festivals (Baghdad Film Festival 2012, Rio de Janeiro FilmAmbiente 2012, Cinemambiente Film Festival 2011).
More recently, GraffitiDoc has dedicated its efforts to fiction films and with Giorgio Cugno’s project “Alien Food”, an Italian-Danish co production, was selected at the prestigious FrameWork programme by TorinoFilmLab, where it received an award. Having recently received support from the National film fund, to film should enter into production next summer.
On the current line-up of GraffitiDoc, ‘Thy Father’s Chair’, a feature length documentary by Antonio Tibaldi and Alex Lora, has taken part on Dok.Incubator, the prestigious program established by DokLeipzig, and has been selected in main competition at IDFA.
