The blue collars Nadia and Massimo balance dreams and failures of their lives in the 24-hour span of a special day in Turin. A glimpse on today's European world of work, where social issues mix with the strong-minded, extravagant and sensitive perosnalities of its protagonists. Turin has been the symbol of italian industry and social changes since 1923, when Fiat built there the largest plant in Europe. On 4th July 2007, it celebrates the launch of the new Fiat 500. This is a special day for Turin, but not only for it. It is a special morning for Nadia, 44, divorced woman who lives with her grown-up children. She makes a typical man's job and struggled for the well-paid night shifts. Now she could be transferred to the day shift, so she fears to lose what she thought was an unquestionable right. This is a special day also for massimo, 40, who works in Mirafiori too and performs as a Drag Queen- with the name of Greta Veleno - during his spare time or when he is in layoff. Today Massimo realizes that his dream of working into the show-biz has vanished and that he will be a blue-collar for the rest of his life. he also thinks about his17-year-long relationship with Angelo and their present disenchantment.
