Synopsis
Winter 1862. At the height of the War of Secession, a company of volunteers from the United States Army is sent to guard the uncharted lands of the West. The mission overwhelms a handful of men-at-arms, revealing the ultimate meaning of their journey towards the frontier.

Author's note
"After many films created in that hybrid space that is the "creation documentary", I Dannati represents a new challenge for me: a fictional, historical, costume film, without sacrificing the realism, immediacy and intimacy of my previous works. I hope that I Dannati at the Cannes Film Festival will be as much of a surprise as it was for us who made it".
