So What is a film production company based in Rome and Turin founded in 2012 by Sara Taigher, Ippolito Simion and Lorenzo Giordano. So What deals with video production, from creativity to post-production, making the most of the experiences in animation, shooting, production and video editing of its founding members. So What works alongside communication agencies, TV networks and film productions offering creative resources and technical knowledge, working with established professionals and young talents. In 2013 So What produces a series of multimedia videos for well-known photojournalists Stefano de Luigi, Marco di Lauro and Paolo Pellegrin. The video Blanco with photographs of Stefano De Luigi receives the second prize at the prestigious World Press Photo, while the website and multimedia video for Marco di Lauro receive the IPA and PDN Awards. In 2014 So What produces the pilot for Workinprogress, a format about young italian startuppers, and co-produced two episodes of Yes We Ride, a TV program on extreme sports for Mediaset. In 2015, So What produces the Documentary Film Life in Riva by Lorenzo Giordano and starts the development of the animated short film Black, recognized and funded as a product of national cultural interest by MIBACT. In 2017 So What is asked to produce 4 international animated commercials for Panasonic distributed online in 14 european countries. In February 2018 So What completes the production of Black and begins to distribute it in the international festival circuit. After 8 months of distributions the animated short gains 25 festival selections among which Catalina Film Festival, Sacramento Film and Music Festival, Palm Springs International Animation Festival and Spark animation Festival (Vancouver, CA), 5 awards and 2 special mentions. From July 2018 So What signs the Italian executive production of the thriller movie The Bay of Silence starring Olga Kurylenko (Bond Girl in Quantum of Solace, Hitman, Oblivion), Claes Bang (The Square, What does not kill ) and Brian Cox (The Nuremberg Trial, The Ring, X-Men 2, the 25th hour, Braveheart, Troy), directed by Paula van der Oest (Oscar nominated in 2001 for "Zus & Zo").
