December 1995. Lena is ffeen years old and lives alone with her mother in a provincial town. When news of an armed prisoner's escape breaks on TV, the outside world closes in on her. Noises are amplifed, suspicions multply. And on a tense, suspended night, Lena goes down to the basement. Perhaps to hide. Or perhaps to wait for someone who will never arrive.

Christmas Lights is an intmate and suspended tale that follows Lena, a ffeen-year-old girl confronted with a truth too big for her to grasp: the escape of her father, a convict accused of murder. Isolated at home, with her mother held at the police staton, Lena faces a deep inner confict made of fear, guilt, and a longing for love. Her father is both victm and culprit, someone to protect and to fear. The short flm explores a pivotal moment: the instant the girl receives news that will change her world. In Lucine di Natale, the focus shifs to absence, silence, and the ambiguity of emotonal bonds, within a confned space that becomes a mirror of a profound and universal emotonal turmoil.
