How do a Hedgehog and a Balloon get along? How do thorns and balloon get along? That's what every woodland dweller who has come across Roc and Lola wonders. But you can tell on the fly why they are such good friends: just observe how Roc patiently answers all Lola's questions and how Lola helps Roc calm down when he gets anxious. In short, they are each other's opposites: they are united by their curiosity about the world they inhabit, and their friendship leads them to improve every day. Roc learns from Lola to be braver, while Lola learns from Roc the importance of caution. Together they spend their days having fun playing and exploring, they meet new characters, always help those in trouble, and learn new things about the place where they live. Roc and Lola's days in the forest are always full of adventure, a little mystery and many challenges. They will have to help Granny Millennial find her acorn, win speed races against the Motorcycle Owl, and help Moon regain her self-confidence. Their approach to the world, so different from what woodland dwellers are used to, will be able to change the world around them as well, demonstrating a different way with which to approach the world and those who inhabit it. Roc and Lola are great friends because the things that unite them are more than the things that divide them.

Roc and Lola are two characters who could not be more different: she is a Giraffe-shaped balloon, and he is the biggest hedgehog in the forest. Despite this, they are great friends. And their unlikely, tender and engaging friendship is the beating heart of this project. During their adventures in the forest, they will learn about the world around them and learn more about themselves as well. Lola, contrary to her innate gentleness, is enthusiastic, inquisitive and often overly reckless, while Roc is studious, meticulous but also a little too afraid of new things. Together they will learn everything there is to know about the world they inhabit but also how to improve and grow together. Roc and Lola is an animated television series project dedicated to an audience of 4 to 6 years old whose first season consists of 26 episodes lasting 7 minutes each. The quality of the series is both narrative and aesthetic. To achieve a high aesthetic level, we have created our own graphic style that makes use of the practicality of 3D animation and the fresh, painterly aesthetics of 2D. Our inspirational models are products that have made their mark on the market through their strong identity: the acclaimed Netflix series Hilda, dedicated to 9-12 year olds, which has been very successful for its unique and highly recognizable animation style and for the delicacy and high emotional involvement rate of its story; Spongebob, a cult series for all ages and among the longest-running and best-known in the world, appreciated by a wide audience, from children to adults; and for graphic inspiration we are inspired by the short films of “L’odyssée de Choum” and “Je suis un caillou”, where the best of French animation is expressed through poetic images of the highest quality. In a market where original Italian animated series for children are still few and far between and do not always succeed in imposing themselves internationally, we believe that Roc and Lola can be a vehicle of Italian creativity in the world, a project with a clear narrative and artistic identity that already at this first stage shows strong potential to be declined in multiple seasons and to become a story loved by adults and children of all backgrounds, who will become attached to the characters and accompany them in their colorful adventures with great wonder and a few laughs
