During a protest against the reopening of a quarry in the mountain locality of Algéres, six people are struck by the same incredibly powerful lightning, which disperses its charge. One year after the event, Yasmin, a young Parisian researcher, arrives in the town to investigate the effects of the lightning on the survivors: some have suffered disabling physical damage, others have acquired surprising abilities or recovered buried memories. While the quarry continues to pit people against each other, and increasingly mysterious events occur, Yasmin enters the community's inner circle, uncovering secrets and contradictions and guiding them towards the anniversary day. The lightning-struck survivors, called “the Dazzleds” survived because they were together, and together they will face their magical mountain, which will finally be on their side.

The Dazzleds is a drama, mystery, and fantasy series that explores how an extraordinary event - a lightning strike hitting six people during a protest against a quarry in Piedmont - can dismantle individual lives and rebuild a sense of community.

Each lightning survivor will have to grapple with the feeling of being spared, which raises another question: should one live each day as if it were their last? All the characters wonder: What does it mean to be survivors? Does it mean being unlucky or chosen? What is the message? And naturally, they embark on a search for meaning in their own lives.

The lightning becomes a metaphor for a collective awakening, a trigger that pushes the protagonists to reconsider their social role and relationships. Like the mountain legend and the meteorite, these are manifestations of nature's power, sometimes frightening, sometimes inspirational, thematically pointing to the urgency of a collective confrontation on environmental issues, the driving force of the story. In our intention, this investigation is not predictable; the different reasons of each character are legitimate and never trivialized. What happens, however, is a change of perspective, shifting from individual to collective.

In the background, the Valdossola area, with its quarries and mountain legends, represents a symbolic territory where nature, memory, and social conflicts intertwine. The landscape is not just a backdrop, but a protagonist: a living mountain, keeper of secrets and bearer of a memory that goes beyond immediate human experience.
