The second season of La legge di Lidia Poët, previewed at Alice nella città, the autonomous and parallel section of the Festa del Cinema di Roma, sees Matilda De Angelis return to play the role of Lidia Poët, the first woman in Italy to enter the Bar Association.

The 6 new episodes will be available only on Netflix from October 30, 2024.

The series, winner with the first season at the Nastri d’Argento Grandi Serie 2023 of the Best ‘Crime’ Series award and in first place among the most viewed Italian titles on Netflix in 2023 for a total of 85 million hours of viewing, is produced by Matteo Rovere, a Groenlandia production, a company of the Gruppo Banijey and made entirely in Torino and Piemonte from June to October 2023, with the support of Film Commission Torino Piemonte.

Filming in Piedmont involved many locations between Torino, Carignano, Asti and Venaria, including: Palazzo Saluzzo Paesana, Palazzo Carignano, Villa Malfatti, Palazzo Scaglia di Verrua, Villa Rignon, Ex Prison Le Nuove, Ducal Castle of Agliè, Church of Santa Pelagia, La Mandria Park, National University Library of Turin and Piazza Carlo Alberto, Ginzburg Gardens, Monte dei Cappuccini, Piazza Castello, Rectorate of the University of Turin, Palazzo Civico of Turin, Quartieri Juvarriani, the historic center and several streets of the Roman quadrilateral in Torino, Metropolitan City of Turin - Palazzo Cisterna, Ex Curia Maxima, Poveri Vecchi and Canelli Station.

Many Piedmontese professionals were involved on the set including: Daniele Morini and Astrid Sara Cozzi in production, Gretel Fatibene in set design, Chiara Moretti in casting and Enrico De Lotto, Cristina Vecchio and Alessandra Curti among the location managers.

The second season, written by Flaminia Gressi, Guido Iuculano and Davide Orsini, directed by Matteo Rovere, Letizia Lamartire and Pippo Mezzapesa, produced by Matteo Rovere and Groenlandia, a company of the Gruppo Banijey, and created by Guido Iuculano and Davide Orsini, continues to tell the story freely based on the life of Lidia Poët, a young woman from Turin who was the first woman in Italy to enter the Bar Association, in a light procedural key.

In addition to Matilda De Angelis in the role of the protagonist and Eduardo Scarpetta in that of the journalist Jacopo Barberis, Pier Luigi Pasino (Enrico Poët, Lidia's brother), Sara Lazzaro and Sinéad Thornhill (respectively Teresa Barberis, Enrico's wife, and Marianna Poët, their daughter) and Dario Aita (Andrea Caracciolo) return in the cast. They are joined in this new season by Gianmarco Saurino, in the role of prosecutor Fourneau.
