Film Commission Torino Piemonte

The second session, for the year 2024, of the call for proposals “Aid to film and audiovisual companies - Piemonte Film Tv Fund” financed under the Regional Programme FESR 21-27 is open from 2 September to 10 October. The call for proposals is online on the Piedmont Region website and provides non-repayable grants to support companies operating in the audiovisual, film and television production sector.

The measure aims to support companies operating in the audiovisual, film and television production sector, with the aim of encouraging the attraction and increase of investments suitable for developing the related industry and employment through the establishment of new companies in the regional territory and the consolidation of investments - relating to new productions - of companies present in the territory in terms of competitiveness.

The call was launched in 2018 as part of the FESR programming funds 2014-2020, and was re-proposed for the Regional Program 2021-2027, which goes from an allocation of 1.5 per year to an allocation of 4 million per year for 2023-2024-2025 and also opens up to animated films.

SMEs established for no less than 2 years (with at least two balance sheets filed) and that meet the requirements indicated in the call can participate.

The overall allocation for 2024 is equal to 4 million euros: this second session of the year 2024 therefore also has resources equal to 2 million euros and applications can be submitted from 9 am on September 2 until 12 pm on October 10.

The fundable projects – which must be concluded within 18 months for fiction (30 months for animation) – must concern investments aimed at the production of audiovisual works belonging to the following categories:

• feature-length fiction films, mainly for cinematographic exploitation;
• feature-length animated films with a minimum duration of 52 minutes, mainly for cinematographic exploitation;
• single television and web fiction works, mainly intended for television broadcasting, including SVOD;
• single television and web animation works with a minimum duration of 24 minutes, mainly intended for television broadcasting, including SVOD;
• serial television and web fiction works, mainly intended for television broadcasting, including SVOD;
• serial television and web animation works with a minimum duration of 24 minutes, mainly intended for television broadcasting, including SVOD.

Companies that apply by the deadline will have the opportunity to access aid for a maximum amount of:

• €150,000.00 for individual television and web animated works;
• €300,000.00 for feature-length fiction films and individual television and web fictional works;
• €400,000.00 for feature-length animated films, serial, television and web animated works and serial, television and web fictional works.

The amount of the contribution is defined by applying the following percentages relating to the following costs incurred in Piedmont:

• 70% of the eligible costs relating to employees resident in Piedmont included among the professional figures referred to in the CCNL «G111 – Audiovisual», «G121-Troupes», «G131-Generic»;
• 40% of the eligible costs relating to employees resident in Piedmont not included in the CCNL referred to in the previous point;
• 40% of eligible costs related to film industry professionals with VAT number resident in Piedmont;
• 40% of eligible costs related to suppliers of goods and services, with registered office or operational headquarters in Piedmont.
