Last January, the latest videoclip by Martin Solveig, DJ, record producer and world-famous singer French who chose the city for his song "now or never", was entirely shoot in Turin.
A project of great scenic impact materialized thanks to a high-budget production plant that required 4 weeks of preparation before the 3 days of filming that involved numerous locations in Turin: various streets in the center, the monumental swimming pool, the Four Studios sound stages – in which a balloon was assembled – and together with some scenes made on the Mottarone.
An international production, commissioned by the Parisian company Omar Films, which stems from an important collaboration between the Belgian company Abyssal and Mattia Puleo's Turin-based Cinefonie, which followed the entire production of the video clip – realized with the support of Film Commission Torino Piemonte – with the role of executive producer.
The Italian-Belgian producer of Abyssal, Giuseppe Conti, wanted to highlight that "in Turin we have found a city with a very welcome potential on the international market and a unique charm. We therefore hope to build a solid and long-term collaboration with Cinefonie and local professionals".
Mattia Puleo of Cinefonie comments on this new project: "As a producer, as well as President of CNA Cinema e Audiovisivo, I can only hope for a more than positive future for Piedmont, which continues to demonstrate its value at national and international level, also thanks to the magnificent work done in recent years by the institutions that increasingly support the sector. Having brought a prominent figure like Martin Solveig to the city is certainly a strong, positive signal, a good omen for the near future".
The shooting directed by the director French Emile Moutaud and the Belgian director of photography Julien Ramirez Hernan involved about 40 professionals from Piedmont (almost all covering the crew) and over 50 between figurations and extras.
