The fourth season of the Rai-HBO series 'My Brilliant Friend' will have its world premiere at the 23rd Tribeca Festival in New York this June.

The series based on Elena Ferrante's successful tetralogy will bring to the stage the closing book "Storia della bambina perduta", thanks to an adaptation for the small screen written by Ferrante herself together with Francesco Piccolo, Laura Paolucci and Saverio Costanzo. The fourth season, directed by Laura Bispuri, completely renews its cast, which now sees Alba Rohrwacher as Elena "Lenù" Greco, Irene Maiorino as Raffaella "Lila" Cerullo and Fabrizio Gifuni as Nino Sarratore.

"My Brilliant Friend" is a Fandango, The Apartment, Fremantle Italy, Wildside and Mowe production with Lorenzo Mieli producing for Fremantle Italy, The Apartment and Wildside (both Fremantle Group companies), and Domenico Procacci for Fandango, in collaboration with Rai Fiction and HBO Entertainment. Executive producers are Saverio Costanzo, Paolo Sorrentino, Jennifer Schuur, Elena Recchia and Guido De Laurentiis. Fremantle is the international distributor in association with RaiCom. The series was also shot in Turin with the support of Film Commission Torino Piemonte in autumn 2022.
